I am a doctor of medicine (MD), a specialist in anesthesia, critical care, and emergency medicine. I’m licensed in Germany and Poland. I’ve been practising for more than 11 years. I am also a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with over 15 years of training experience.
I began my BJJ journey at Linke Gold Team (affiliation of Macaco Gold Team of the notorious Jorge “Macaco” Patino from São Paulo, Brazil) academy in Szczecin, Poland and recieved my black belt in 2018 from coach Mariusz “Manolo” Linke (the truest MMA and BJJ-legend, one of the first ever black belts in Poland and eastern Europe). Currently, I’m living in Berlin, Germany where I’m training and coaching with GFTeam Berlin and also at its filia GFTeam Morrocoyo BJJ (which I co-own with my friends Burak and Marco), under my professors Julio Cesar and Gabriel Raihno.
I’ve been passionate about sports medicine and the practical application of the scientifical, evidence-based knowlege in grappling sports for many years now. My main topics of interest are: the mental and physiological aspects of optimal athletic performance, hormonal optimization, longevity and anti-aging, up-to date supplementation and doping knowlegde. Currently, I’m working on my phD in the area of telemedicine and heart rate variability aspects. I’m also undergoing an education towards gaining a formal speciality in sport medicine.
I also regularely consult the MMA and BJJ athlethes regarding supplementation regimes, hormonal balance, mat injuries, as well as lifestyle tips. These blog articles and podcast are the summarization of those all those experiences and passions.
